On Saturday, May 16, at least three suspected Abu Sayyaf militants were killed during clashes with security forces in Patikul municipality (Sulu province). Reports indicate that fighting broke out at approximately 10:45 (local time) in Danag village and continued for an hour. At least five government soldiers were also wounded in the incident.
