Indonesia: Students plan protests in Sulawesi on July 6 and 7

This will be the third round of such protests, with the second round having taken place on Tuesday, June 30, when hundreds of protesters attempted to stop the arrival of 100 Chinese workers in Kendari city. The demonstrators claim that the migrant workers, who are coming to work in a new Chinese-funded mining plant, are not technical experts and that the role could instead be filled by local workers.
