Indonesia: KAMI demonstrators to gather in Central and West Java provinces September 18

Reports indicate that activists are denouncing the government's alleged ineffective and non-democratic policies. Participants in Magelang are expected to demonstrate at the City Square between 13:00 and 15:00 (local time), with demonstrators possibly gathering from 12:00 at the Grand Mosque for Friday Prayers. In Tasikmalaya, an exact location has not been announced, though likely protest locations include the City Square and City Park.

Localized overland disruptions in the vicinity of protests should be anticipated. A heightened security presence is also likely and clashes between security forces and protesters cannot be ruled out. Counter-protests are also possible.
