Iraq: Demonstrators block highway in Karbala’s Al-Hur area October 10

Dozens of residents demonstrated in the Al-Hur district of Karbala on Saturday, October 10. Highway 22 was reportedly blocked by protesters for a period of time. The protestors called on local authorities to initialize road repairs as soon as possible due to high rates of road traffic accidents (RTAs) on the highway. The demonstration passed off peacefully.
