Australian officials have extended the suspension of quarantine-free travel from New Zealand through at least 1400 Jan. 31. The government's decision follows the discovery of at least three coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in New Zealand. Authorities will require all passengers from New Zealand to quarantine at the port of entry for 14 days; however, officials could reduce the quarantine period if they lift the suspension. The government has asked New Zealand arrivals since Jan. 14 to get a COVID-19 test and self-quarantine until receiving a negative result. Additional extensions of the suspension are possible.
