One person has died and 60 others have been hospitalized due to a gas leak in the Navotas area of Manila Feb. 3. The leak occurred at T.P. Marcelo Ice Plant and Cold Storage in the North Bay Boulevard South area from approximately 1620. Authorities evacuated residents in the area. Although officials report that the ammonia smell has dissipated, lingering traffic disruptions are likely on the nearby Boulevard Highway and R-10 in the coming hours.

Heightened security and transport disruptions are likely in the area. Lingering disruptions are possible after authorities conclude their operation.
