Canada: Protest against the police planned in Montreal, March 15

Activists affiliated with the Collective Opposed to Police Brutality plan to hold a protest in Montreal, Quebec, March 15 to mark International Day Against Police Brutality and demand the abolition of the police. Demonstrators plan to gather in front of Parc metro, in the neighborhood of Parc Extension, starting at 17:00.

Hundreds are likely to attend the rally. Heightened security is likely, with associated transport and business disruptions in the area. Clashes between demonstrators and police are possible.
