The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Tornado Emergency for areas in Coweta and Fayette counties, including Peachtree City, Tyrone, and Fayetteville, in northwestern Georgia through 00:45 March 26. Reports indicate a tornado near Newnan is moving northeast towards the impacted locations.

The weather warnings could be extended or expanded at short notice.

The impact area is around 40 km (25 miles) southwest of Atlanta, Georgia.
