Aruba lifts most COVID-19-related domestic controls as of July 5; travel restrictions remain largely unchanged since mid-June.

Warning

Event

Aruba has lifted most domestic COVID-19-related restrictions as of July 5; however, most international travel requirements have remained largely unchanged since mid-June.

From July 5, establishments no longer face COVID-19-related restrictions on closing times and can operate according to the stipulations of their business permits. The alcohol ban that was previously in place has been lifted, nightclubs are allowed to reopen, and dancing is permitted without social distancing.

Facemasks and social distancing are strongly encouraged but no longer a formal government requirement, except for travelers inside airports and on incoming flights. Individuals may also still be required to wear facemasks in certain establishments.

International Travel Restrictions
International travel is permitted from all countries and regions, except for Venezuela. The following requirements are in force for all arriving passengers and have remained largely unchanged since mid-June:

  • All travelers are required to complete a digital Embarkation-Disembarkation Card (ED card) and must purchase mandatory COVID-19 health insurance before travel.

  • Arrivals aged 15 and over must provide a negative result from a PCR or other molecular test taken no more than 72 hours before departure for Aruba.

  • Any persons arriving without a negative result from a PCR or other molecular test will be tested at the airport at their own expense, followed by a mandatory quarantine period of up to 24 hours in their accommodations while awaiting test results.

Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on local disease activity.
