Panama: Water outage planned in parts of Panama City 08:00-17:00 Oct. 20

Officials with utility provider IDAAN have announced that maintenance on water lines will require the suspension of water supply to parts of Panama City 08:00-17:00 Oct. 20. Impacted areas of the city have a high concentration of major commercial enterprises and business-class hotels; they include Nuevo Paitilla, Nuevo Sebastian, Punta Pacifica, the area near Via Israel, the area from the Multiplaza to the Corredor Sur tunnel, the Pacifica Salud Hospital, the Richard Newman School, the Remon Cantera School, and the Isabel Herrera Obaldia Professional School.

Stock up on drinking water in advance. Confirm alternative water supplies for business operations. Pressure and water quality may be poor after service resumes; run taps for several minutes before using water. Use only bottled water from reputable suppliers for drinking and hygienic purposes.
