Haiti: American Airlines to reduce number of flights serving Port-au-Prince effective Nov. 15

American Airlines to reduce number of flights serving Haiti effective Nov. 15. Reconfirm travel arrangements.

Informational

Event

American Airlines (AA) plans to reduce its service to Haiti due to decreased demand stemming from a recent significant rise in gang violence. Effective Nov. 15, the carrier will begin operating only one daily flight between Port-au-Prince Toussaint Louverture International (PAP) and Miami International Airport (MIA); the airline has normally operated three flights per day between PAP and airports in the US state of Florida.

Advice

Reconfirm flight arrangements if scheduled to travel to or from PAP on American Airlines. If rebooking is necessary, do so early as tickets on other carriers may be in higher demand.
