US: Unionized airport staff in Los Angeles and San Francisco to strike and protest Nov. 24

Unionized staff plan to strike at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Nov. 24 to demand improved healthcare coverage. Most workers that will go on strike run restaurants and prepare food served on flights at these airports. A strike at SFO is scheduled to take place between 10:00-15:00 at Terminal 3. Related protests are possible. Workers at LAX plan to participate in a protest at Terminal 4 departures between 09:00-18:00, Nov. 24.

Protesters may cause some access disruptions at the impacted airports, Nov. 24. Significant airport operation disruptions are unlikely.
