The Tunisian Company of Electricity and Gas has announced that electricity cuts will occur in parts of Monastir, Sfax, Sidi Bouzid, and Sousse governorates 08:00-15:00 March 6 for maintenance works. Affected areas include Bembla, Masdour, Monastir city and Zaramidin in Monastir; Sfax city; Braga, Faid, Ouled Haffouz, Saida, and Zafria in Sidi Bouzid; and Ksiba, Sousse city, and Zaouit in Sousse. Residents may experience lingering disruptions through the evening of March 6.

Temporary commercial and communications disruptions, including cellular services, are possible during power outages. Traffic disruptions may occur in some areas due to malfunctioning traffic signals. Trains may also experience delays if outages impact signaling devices or overhead wires. Power outages could also result in the temporary unavailability of essential services such as ATMs and gas stations.

Charge all communication and portable electronic devices when possible. Unplug electronic equipment that is not connected to surge protectors. Exercise caution when driving in areas that have experienced power outages. Confirm business appointments during any blackouts. Make allowances for possible supply chain disruptions.
