Domestic Measures
A health state of emergency remains in place, allowing the government to implement COVID-19 restrictions. The use of facemasks remains mandatory in all public places and individuals must maintain social distancing of 1.5 meters (5 feet) between persons. There are capacity restrictions on certain gatherings. As of March 23, there is no nightly curfew in effect.
Temperature checks are carried out at the entrances to public and private institutions and businesses, including offices, schools, banks, universities, health centers, hospitals, and places of worship.
International Travel Restrictions
Commercial passenger flights are operating at Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP) in Port-au-Prince and at Cap Haitien International Airport (CAP); incoming passengers are subject to body temperature checks on arrival.
International travel restrictions remain in place. All travelers arriving in Haiti, regardless of country of origin, must present a negative result from an antigen or PCR test taken within 72 hours before boarding their flights. Arrivals must complete and submit a health declaration form, in which they must provide their in-country contact information and accommodation details. Travelers are not required to self-isolate upon arrival unless they have COVID-19 symptoms or local authorities require them to do so.
Authorities can reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
