The Alliance for Tunisia plans to host rallies in Tunis on May 8. The purpose of the action is to show support for President Kais Saied and his proposed political reforms. Organizers have not announced specific sites and venues for the demonstrations; however, previous similar protests have occurred outside the Municipal Theater near Habib Bourguiba Avenue, near the Presidential Palace, and at the country's parliament. Counter-demonstrations are possible.

Authorities will almost certainly deploy heightened security near potential protest sites May 8. Security forces could erect roadblocks and close roads around demonstration venues to prevent protesters from gathering. Clashes between demonstrators and police officers, or among supporters of rival political groups are possible.
