The opposition Dynamique Monseigneur Kpodzro (DMK) coalition has postponed to July 16 a political meeting initially scheduled in Lome June 25. Authorities banned the event citing security reasons. Participants will gather at Be Kondjindji in the Golf 1 area from 14:00 over the rising cost of living and alleged bad governance. Authorities have yet to grant permission for the gathering.
Increased security and localized traffic disruptions are likely near the meeting. Given the anti-government nature of the meeting, the potential for clashes with security forces is elevated.

Avoid all gatherings as a precaution. Plan for localized traffic disruptions in the Golf 1 area. If violence erupts nearby, immediately depart the area and seek shelter in a secure, nongovernmental building.
