China: Officials in Zhejiang Province tighten COVID-19 test requirements in parts of Hangzhou July 13
Officials in Zhejiang Province, China, tighten COVID-19 test requirements in parts of Hangzhou from July 13.
Event
Officials in Zhejiang Province will tighten COVID-19 test requirements in parts of Hangzhou from July 13. Residents in Binjiang, Gongshu, Linping, Shangcheng, Qiantang, Xihu, Xiaoshan, and Yuhang districts and the West Lake tourist zone must present a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours to enter public venues and transport, instead of seven days previously. Travelers entering Zhejiang Province must also take a PCR test result within 24 hours of arrival.
Additional measures are likely if there are new COVID-19 cases. Strict controls, such as stay-at-home orders and closure of nonessential businesses, could occur in areas with COVID-19 activity. The government could carry out mass testing and may impose gathering, business, and travel restrictions in Hangzhou and other parts of Zhejiang Province as a precaution. Travelers must present a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 48 hours to enter Ningbo Lishe International Airport (NGB). Affected cities may require a negative PCR test result for interprovincial travel or exiting passengers; the testing window can vary between 24-48 hours before departure.
Advice
Strictly heed the instructions of authorities. Remain cooperative if approached and questioned by law enforcement officers. Confirm appointments and travel reservations due to possible restrictions.
