Activists denouncing the recent murder of Pintu Rawat have called for a shutdown strike (bandh) in Nasirabad town, Ajmer District, Rajasthan State, Oct. 15. Organizers are requesting the voluntary participation of local businesses; low to moderate participation is likely. Unless averted, the strike may cause limited localized business and transport disruptions in Nasirabad.

Activists may hold protests during the bandh period. Popular rally venues include public squares, government buildings, and major traffic intersections. Dozens of people will likely attend any related rallies. Authorities will almost certainly monitor any large demonstrations and may attempt to disperse disruptive gatherings.
