Officials are maintaining COVID-19 measures in Shenzhen as of Oct. 14. Authorities classify communities in Bao'an, Futian, and Nanshan districts as medium or high risk, and lockdown measures continue in affected localities. Residents and individuals must remain in their homes; exceptions may be possible for emergencies and essential reasons. Officials restrict travel to and from the affected communities. Entertainment establishments remain closed in affected districts, and public transport disruptions are likely in medium- and high-risk areas. Authorities maintain measures for three days after the latest confirmed community case and continue testing before easing restrictions.
Increased health screenings continue at Shenzhen's border checkpoints, ports, highways, and passenger transport hubs. The government requires inbound travelers to hold a negative COVID-19 test result obtained within 48 hours and undergo three PCR COVID-19 tests in the days after arrival.
However, tighter measures remain in place for people that visited locations with COVID-19 activity. Travelers from high-risk areas must undergo centralized quarantine for seven days, while people arriving from medium-risk locations must self-quarantine for seven days. Travelers from places with an outbreak, such as Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, or Tibet, must self-quarantine for three days and undergo four additional days of health monitoring. People who visited these locations must also undergo more frequent testing after arrival, though the number and days of testing vary. Officials require people who have visited cities with risk-designated communities to stay at home -without visitors – for three days and avoid gatherings and crowded locations for seven days after arrival.
