Authorities are responding to an armed robbery that occurred at Carnes Hill Marketplace in southwestern Sydney the afternoon of Oct. 24. New South Wales Police say that two suspects robbed a jewelry store at the shopping center at around 16:45. The thieves reportedly shot a firearm during the robbery, but there were no reports of injuries. Officers have captured one of the suspects; however, a search operation continues near the shopping center for the other robber. New South Wales Police say there is no threat to the community.
