Fishermen continue to stage protests in Thiruvananthapuram's Vizhinjam area as of Nov. 2 to denounce the construction of the Vizhinjam port project. On Nov. 1, nearly 4,000 fishermen reportedly bypassed police barricades at the port construction site; simultaneously, opposing activists affiliated with the Save Vizhinjam Port Action Council marched toward the Kerala Government Secretariat building.
