Finland: Unionized Finnair cabin crew members to strike for 24 hours 15:00 Nov. 20-15:00 Nov. 21

Unionized Finnair cabin crew members represented by the Automotive and Transportation Workers Union (AKT) have announced a 24-hour strike beginning 15:00 Nov. 20 and ending 15:00 Nov. 21. The purpose of the action is to protest the airline's plan to fire 450 direct employed crew members and substitute them for allegedly cheaper subcontracted flight attendants. As of Nov. 19, Finnair has announced several flight cancellations in preparation for the strike.

Additional flight cancellations and delays are possible during the work stoppage.
