Australia: Aviation security personnel threaten to hold work stoppage at Canberra Airport (CBR) in Canberra Dec. 16

Aviation security personnel and members of the United Workers Union have threatened to strike at Canberra Airport (CBR) in Canberra Dec. 16 as a part of an ongoing pay dispute with employers. Unless averted, the labor action will likely impact airport operations as strike participants plan to suspend screening and/or processing services at CBR's terminals.

Flight disruptions could extend for several hours after the end of the planned walkout as affected carriers reposition aircraft and/or work through any passenger backlogs.
