Authorities are extending the temporary closure of Provo Municipal Airport (PVU) in Provo, Utah, until at least the morning of Jan. 5 to allow investigations and repairs following a small plane crash Jan. 2. The accident left one person dead and three injured. Authorities may extend the duration of the airport closure on short notice.

Flight cancellations and reroutes are almost certain for flights flying out of, to, or through PVU until at least Jan. 5. Lingering flight disruptions are likely through Jan. 6 as airlines work to clear flight and passenger backlogs.
