Activists plan to demonstrate outside Parliament in Beirut from 10:00 Dec. 12. Protesters are denouncing the worsening economic situation and corruption. Dozens to hundreds of individuals could attend the demonstration.

Increased security and localized transport disruptions are likely near Parliament through the evening of Feb. 20. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out, particularly if demonstrators are overly disruptive or if they ignore police orders to disperse.
