Transport workers from the National Confederation of Mexican Transporters AC (La Confederacion Nacional de Transportistas mexicanos A.C., Conatram) are planning a day of blockades 06:00-16:00 Feb. 22 throughout Guadalajara, Jalisco, to protest allegedly high road tolls. Protesters plan to blockade the following routes:
Zapotlanejo - Guadalajara Highway
Lopez Mateos extension
Highway 15D between Avenue Vallarta and Periferico
Saltillo Highway
Additional actions may also occur in other locations. Heightened security and traffic disruptions are likely throughout Feb. 22. Disruptions to businesses dependent on truck shipment are probable. Clashes are possible if security forces try to disperse protesters.
