Four people were killed, including the suspect, and seven others wounded in a shooting incident at Naval Air Station Pensacola (Florida state) on Friday, December 6. The shooting began around 06:50 (local time) and the suspect was shot and killed at approximately 08:00. The gunman has reportedly been identified as a member of the Saudi Air Force who was in the US for training. An investigation into the incident is ongoing and authorities have not yet released a motive for the shooting as of Friday afternoon (local time). The naval base will remain closed until further notice. 

A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions such as road closures are to be expected in the vicinity of the incident.
