At least 16 people were killed and more than 50 others were injured in a train collision in Brahmanbaria district on Tuesday morning (local time), November 12. Officials said an Udayan Express train bound for Chittagong collided with a Turna Nishita train headed for the capital Dhaka around 03:00 at Mondobagh Railway Station in Brahmanbaria. An investigation to determine the cause of the incident is ongoing. 

Lingering delays and cancelations are to be expected across the rail network over the coming hours.
