Access to both villages has been blocked by residents who are demanding a resolution to the unrest, occurring since Monday, September 7, which has seen vandalism and vehicles set alight. Reports suggest that local youths have clashed with police, and additional security forces have been sent to prevent further clashes between residents of the two villages. Local reports suggest that some youths armed with machetes are stopping vehicles to check identity papers and are turning motorists away.
