French Guiana: Protest over Franc currency zone and French influence in Cayenne September 14

Civil society group Urgence Panafricaniste has called for a protest to be held in Cayenne on Saturday, September 14, to denounce the use of the CFA franc currency and denounce what they perceive as persisting French influence over its former colonies. Protesters are expected to gather at 08:30 (local time) in front of the Prefecture building.
