Security forces engage civilian vehicle at a checkpoint in Baghdad International Zone on November 30; monitor developments



Local sources report that Iraqi security forces engaged a civilian vehicle that failed to stop at a checkpoint in the Baghdad International Zone at approximately 19:35 (local time) on Monday, November 30. It is not yet known if there were any casualties sustained during the engagement, which occurred in the vicinity of the British Embassy.

A heightened security presence is to be expected in the vicinity of the incident in the near term, along with localized transport disruptions.
