Belgium: Protest planned in Liege for November 28

COVID-19 related protest planned in Liege for November 28; localized disruptions likely

Activists have called for a protest in Liege on Saturday, November 28. Participants will gather at the Place St Lambert from 21:00 (local time) to demonstrate against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) restrictions, particularly the current curfew in place. Although the event is likely to be well attended and will be in breach of the curfew, it is expected to pass off peacefully.

A heightened police presence and localized travel disruptions should be anticipated in the vicinity of the demonstration.

Those in Liege are advised to monitor developments, minimize time spent in the vicinity of the demonstration, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities.
