Events are taking place in Riga to commemorate the end of World War II on Tuesday, May 9. Localized disruptions are possible in the capital throughout the day, including around Victory Park from 09:00 (local time) to 11:00, as well as between the corner of Slokas iela and Kalnciema iela streets and the Victory Memorial due to a march taking place from 15:00 to 19:00.

Events are expected to remain peaceful but a heightened security presence is to be anticipated.
