Portugal: Azores Airlines cabin crew strike June 1-2

Cabin crew personnel at Azores Airlines (a.k.a. SATA International) plan to strike on Thursday, June 1, and Friday, June 2. Significant flight disruptions (delays and cancelations) are to be anticipated during this 48-hour period. Disruptions at affected airports are also likely, for example at check-in and ticketing counters. The airline has said affected passengers may change their tickets to another date or to ask for a refund.

Context

The strike is in response to airline management’s alleged refusal to follow through on past agreements. A similar strike took place on May 1-2, affecting more than 1300 passengers.
