Portugal: Airport staff strikes possible from June 3

The Union of Aviation Sector and Airport Workers (Sindicato dos Trabalhadores e Aviação, SITAVA) has called for strikes that could take place anytime between Saturday, June 3, and October 1. The announcement followed an unsuccessful meeting with the national flagship carrier, TAP, over proposed wage increases. Disruptions, including last-minute delays, cancelations, and rescheduled flights, are possible during this four-month period, along with increased waiting times at airports.
