Russia: Shooting at Regional Court in Moscow August 1

Local media has reported that a shooting erupted at the Regional Court in Moscow on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 1, during the trial of a criminal gang. Defendants allegedly attempted to grab firearms from security guards and take hostages. Some 20 shots are said to have been fired injuring four people and killing three of the defendants.

According to officials, two of the defendants have been detained.

The building has been evacuated and ambulances are at the scene.
