Colombia: Possible Avianca pilot strike September 20-27

Pilots at Colombia’s national airline Avianca have threatened to strike between Wednesday, September 20, and Wednesday, September 27. The union behind the action represents more than half of all Avianca pilots and as such the strike could have a major impact on flight operations if it goes ahead. The airline has suspended ticket sales for services on September 20-22, although currently scheduled flights have not yet been canceled.
