Colombia: Avianca pilot strike continues /update 2

An indefinite strike launched by Avianca pilots on September 20 continues as of Tuesday, September 26. During the first six days of the strike, Colombia’s national airline was forced to cancel nearly half of their normally scheduled flights. Further disruptions, including flight delays, are to be anticipated throughout the duration of the strike.

The airline asked the courts on Monday to declare the strike illegal and force the more than 700 pilots currently on strike to return to work.
