France: Storm alerts in south October 19

Fierce storms are forecast for the southern departments of Aude and Herault on Thursday, October 19. Heavy rainfall - up to 10 cm (4 in) - and thunderstorms are expected, which may cause transportation disruptions as well as localized flooding. The national weather agency Météo France has issued orange alert warnings - the second-highest on a four-point scale - which are currently set to remain in effect until 21:00 (local time).
