Sweden: Rail disruptions due to derailment in Ludvika Oct. 12

On Thursday, October 12, a freight train detailed near Ludvika station, in the eastern county of Dalarna, at around 02:30 (local time). The accident has caused significant rail disruptions affecting passenger trains on the Borlänge-Hallsberg, Borlänge-Kil, and Västerås-Ludvika lines.

It is unclear when traffic will return to normal. A bus replacement service has been set up on affected routes.
