India: Farmer protest in New Delhi Nov. 20

Thousands of famers gathered in New Delhi at the Ramlila Maidan and marched towards Parliament Street on Monday, November 20. Some 184 farmers groups from the states of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Telangana participated in the protest under the umbrella group All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC).

Context

Farmers were demanding the forgiveness of loans and fair prices for their produce.
