Event
A number of far-right European political parties are scheduled to hold a conference in Prague on Saturday, December 16. High-level leaders including Tomio Okamur (leader of the Czech Freedom and Direct Democracy [SPD] party) Marine Le Pen (leader of the French National Front party), and Geert Wilders (leader of the Dutch Freedom Party) are expected to attend the conference. Several counter-protests have also been organized in the city. Demonstrators are planning to gather in front of the National Archive at 08:00 (local time) to block access to Chodov. Another rally is set to take place at the Old Town Square in Prague and at the Roztyly metro station from 14:00 to 17:00. Expect increased security measures and localized traffic disruptions around the demonstrations and the event.
