Clashes over control of gold deposit in Siguiri (northeast) on December 2; four injured

On Saturday, December 2, violent clashes erupted in the mining area of Siguiri (northeast) between villagers from Korè-Korè and others from Miyada over control of a gold deposit. At least four people were wounded and several others arrested by security forces who were quickly deployed in the area.
