Air France staff set to strike on February 22; significant flight delays and cancelations expected

Air France pilots, flight attendants, and ground crew staff will go on strike on Thursday, February 22. The strike is expected to result in significant flight delays and cancelations throughout the airline's network. Air France has announced that only 50 percent of long-haul flights departing from Paris airports will be operated, along with 75 percent of medium-haul flights to and from Paris-Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG), and 85 percent of short-haul flights nationwide. Customers with tickets for flights on Thursday are permitted to change their travel plans free of charge; tickets for canceled flights will be fully refunded.

Residual disruptions are also possible on Friday, February 23.

Ten unions representing Air France staff have organized the strike to demand salary increases after years of wage stagnation.
