France: Snow in north, further travel disruptions Feb. 7 /update 1
Center-north of France remains on orange alert for snow and ice; anticipate further travel disruptions February 7

The French weather service, Météo France, has continued to issue orange alerts for a large number of center-north departments due to snow and icy conditions for Wednesday, February 7. Most affected areas - including the capital Paris - are expected to receive further snowfall throughout the day. Road travel disruptions are to be expected along with flight delays and possible cancelations at airports in Paris.
According to the RATP, all bus services in Paris remain suspended on Wednesday. RER and Transilien rail services are also facing severe disruptions. SNCF rail have advised all customers in Ile de France region to postpone travel due to severe rail disruptions, which are expected to last throughout Wednesday morning. Authorities have requested that those in affected areas avoid driving personal vehicles due to dangerous road conditions.
School buses have been suspended in the departments of l’Orne, l'Eure, la Seine-Saint-Denis, l'Essonne, les Yvelines, la Seine-et-Marne, la Marne, and the whole Centre-Val de L’Oire region.
