France: Series of rail strikes threatened in April and June
Employees at SNCF, French national rail operator, threaten to strike two days out of five April 3 to June 28

Unions representing employees at the SNCF, the national rail operator, have threatened to launch a series of strikes beginning on Tuesday, April 3. The strikes would take place two out of every five days until June 28. The precise schedule is expected to be released March 21. If the strikes go ahead, significant rail disruptions are to be anticipated throughout the months of April, May, and June, e.g. reduced services, delays, and overcrowding on available trains.
As a reminder, SNCF employees are also expected to strike on March 22 amid a national public sector strike also affecting air traffic control (March 21-23) and Paris public transit.
