Possible LAN Express (airline) strike in Chile from April 10; domestic flight disruptions expected

Cabin crew staff at the airline LAN Express, a subsidiary of LATAM, have postponed a threatened strike. The indefinite strike is now set to begin on Tuesday, April 10. However, further date changes cannot be ruled out.

If the strike goes ahead, significant flight disruptions are possible, with as many as half of flights at risk of being canceled. All routes operated by LAN Express are expected to be affected, notably Santiago-Antofagasta, Santiago-Castro, Santiago-Punta Arenas, and Santiago-Temuco flights. However, international flights operated by other LATAM branches are not expected to be impacted.
