Indefinite strike by airport firefights in New Caledonia from April 25; flight disruptions expected

Firefighters are threatening to launch an indefinite strike on Wednesday, April 25, at airports throughout New Caledonia. If the strike goes ahead, flight disruptions are to be anticipated, including at Nouméa-La Tontouta International Airport (NOU). The airline Air Calédonie has warned that it will have to reduce its flight schedule by at least 20 percent during the strike. Last-minute delays and cancelations are also possible.
