Nigeria: Armed thieves kill 45 people in Kaduna state May 5

Armed bandits killed at least 45 people in the village of Gwaska in the Birnin Gwari local government area (Kaduna state) on Saturday, May 5. Nigerian military forces have been deployed to secure the area from the thieves, who have reportedly carried out a series of recent attacks in the region to steal cattle and property from residents. Further similar attacks are nevertheless possible in Kaduna state in the coming days and weeks.

Context
