Levels of air pollution fall in Mexico City June 8; driving restrictions lifted

Following a drop in air pollution levels, authorities have canceled the “phase 1 contingency plan” and lifted associated restrictions in the capital Mexico City for Friday, June 8.  As such, the intensified driving restrictions implemented on June 7 will no longer be in effect. Only the permanent rotating restrictions - as prescribed by the Hoy No Circula scheme - are in place.
